What a great website! I have many Marx toys which my husband collected. I can't wait to visit the museum.
I have a Marx remote controlled Electric Train Set with Steam type Locomotive and Automatic Coupler. It is still in the original box with the transformer. It still works!! I recieved it as a Christmas gift when I was about 5 years old. I amd now 62. I have all the cars that came with it and paperwork. Is it valuable?
Your website is fantastic! I only recently found it and will plan a "roadtrip" to visit your museum later this summer. Marx toys were a beloved part of my life in the 1950s-60s. Among the many Marx toys currently in my personal collection is the Giant Blue & Gray Civil War Battle Set. It is 99% complete with the exception of the paint set which was included to paint the soldiers. What I am looking for to purchase is the TV commercial used to advertise this wonderful set. The black and white commercial was awesome with theme music and great shots of kids playing with this big playset. I have to have it before I die! There are many VHS and DVDs for sale all over the internet with vintage toy commercials on them, but none so far with this commercial. If anyone has this or knows where I can purchase it, please contact this aging baby boomer at rmanzino@msn.com. I would gratefully appreciate any leads anyone can supply me with! Thanks! Rich Manzino
Awesome site! I have opened a model train collectors forum where you can discuss all aspects of model railroading. If you are interested see link below. http://www.spamfreeforums.net/Train-Collectors/
I was the kid on the block, 1947, that had a Marx train. Ran it so much that I had to get a replacement motor. Although it wasn't as "pretty" as a Lionel, it ran and it ran all the time. It was a #999 I think my oldest son has it in Texas. If I am in the neighborhood, I drop in. Wilson Gartner, gartnewf@yahoo.com
I stp[[ed by the Kruger Street Toy and train Museum and the tour they gave did nothing but tell me all about Marz toys. I played with many of them as a child and wnat to come to the events this weekend. I could really get into being a child again, now that I have grandsons. Please add me to any mailing list or e-mail list
Trying to find a value of the Marx Mobile circa 1955. It is in excellent condition other than missing 2 of the knobs in front. My email is circuitcourt@grics.net Thanks!
i hate you websice
Hey, I really enjoyed seeing the museum and the website. I have 2 Marx Coca Cola Trucks. And I really enjoyed seeing where they were from. They are my favorite toy Trucks. Thanks, Donald R. Hall
Loved the site. Wondering about the history behind the Popeye and Olive Oil wind up toy. I notice on your site she is sitting on a box of dynamite and I've seen other toys where she was sitting on a box of spinach. Is there a story behind the two different boxes?
I have known of Marx toys since the early fifties. My sister in law's father was a artist for marx toys in Newark New Jersey and died on the way to work in the early 50's she has the entire family on the look out of anything we can find. she has some amazing marx things in her home. It has been wonderful finding this web page tonight. Sheila Roebig
I found your site helpful in remembering the name of "pinto the pony" I still have the one I put many miles on when I was a kid.I also enjoyed seeing the other marx toys my brothers and I had.Thank you
I very much enjoyed visiting your website, but I look much more forward to visiting the museum in person very soon! I'm very excited about seeing first hand just how many of my childhood toys were made by Marx. From what I can see so far, my childhood was mostly a Marx Toys childhood. Great memories! Thanks.
From my first Fort Apache playset when I was six years old to my latest Battleground playset at 49 years old...Marx has been a great friend.
My Wife, Ilse and I visited the museum in September, 2004 while attending my 50th High School reunion from Moundsville High School. We enjoyed our visit very much and it brought back a lot of old memories. My Uncle Ed Burton worked at the Glen Dale plant as long as I can remember until they closed. He used to bring me and my sister toys from there and when we returned from Army duty in Germany in 1966 he gave my daughter a doll house from Marx for Christmas. I guess there is a flea market occupying the place now. Wish Lois Marx was still around, I know he brought a lot of joy to a whole lot of kids. Jim & Ilse Mason

My cousins and myself are going to be visiting the Erie area in a couple of weeks and I found you are one of the "nearby point of interest" for the area we will be visiting. I would like to make your museum one of my stops! Looking forward to it.
What a wonderful website! Best wishes for the success of your museum.
I grew up in Bellaire, Ohio & with Marx for my last name I always dreamed of being a part of the Marx toy factory. My next door neighbor worked at Marx & I rec'd a lot of the toys from Her. This would be a wonderful trip to make in the near future. Thanks!
I think I have a 50's metal Marx Doll House. I was researching for information and stumbled upon your museum website. I look forward to visiting your museum with my family.
Your website is great
Hi: This site is wonderful. I was born in 1950 and I can still clearly remember the Marx toys that I had received from Santa and for birthdays. The farm set and Fort Apachie are featured on this site. There was also a fire station with truchs and a garage with cars, and many more. Archie
Thanks for bringing back some memories,it good seeing the things I remembered once again as a very young boy I think your museum is great.
My dad grew up in wheeling and told me about the "big wheel" and the fun he and his buddies used to have on them. I can't wait to visit wheeling again to see the museum, have some good old colman's fish and Decarlos pizza.

Yes, I go to Nolan's church - and am planning to visit your museum this coming Friday!!! Can't wait.
I didn't know something like this existed. This is wonderful. I wish you would show more upclose pictures of the Farm Sets though. I had one when I was a kid and one day when I was in my 20's my mom cleaned out the attic and the set was gone forever. I begged her to hunt down the person that helped her, and I did get just the barn back. I'm 49 now and I still love my barn. I miss the animals & plants! The Farm Set left a lasting impression. I've always wanted to marry a farmer... I wish I would have known about your sale but I'm disabled and would not have been able to come to w.va anyway. but maybe I could have got some animals for my barn. Oh well. Keep up the good work and MORE PHOTOS! Photos of everything! Please!
