Welcome to the Marx Toy Museum Toy FAQs and Facts Blog!!!

For the past 10 years, the Marx Toy Museum has received dozens of emails each day requesting information on the toys and history of Louis Marx. And for years, we have taken the time to answer those questions with each email request.

The Toy FAQs and Facts Blog is designed to bring more of those questions and answers to more people. The Marx Toy Museum will blog about those Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) we receive by email and also share some Facts about some of the toys we have on display at the museum.

I'm restoring a Stutz Bearcat riding car but it has no battery and I cannot tell the voltage of the motor. I think it may be 6 volt but I'm not sure. Does anyone know what voltage the system is for this car? Thanks. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ MTM: A blog has now

I have several Marx Fix All Mercury Wagons made in 1953. This is my favorite marx toy ever, and the only known car of the 1952/53 Mercury Wagon to exist. I have them in Dark Green, Light Blue, two variations of Seafoam Green, and Tan. Were there any other
colors made on this toy?

where can I get replacement tracks for my Catapillar Windup Toy-I found them in one place but the prices were rediculous. Can they be properly glued back together if I have the old ones?

I have an Eeyore(from Winnie the Pooh) floor toy that I would like some information about.He stands about 5 1/2" tall and nose to tail is about 10". Has a hard plastic body, with rubber legs , ears, mane and tail. There is a hole on his back where a rubber
hose with a rubber bulb is attached. When you squeeze the bulb the air goes through the hose, causing the back legs to move and make Eeyore walk. there is a Marx Toys logo on the under side (his tummy),with the words "Made in Hong Kong" circling the logo.
I was wondering if anyone knows where he was made, sold, or any other info. Thanks, Eeyore Fan

I have a Marx motorized motorcycle. It has a crank on the top that makes motorcycle noises when cranked. It is a turquoise blue and black. Does anyone have any information on this?

I recently purchased a plastic toy horse whose head can either be let down and it bobs from side to side or locked in upright and also bobs from side to side in this position. Does anyone know what these horses were called? I see some on ebay but they
aren't the same. Thanks

I am looking for a Marx Mystery Walking Doll. It is about 6" high with a lead weight on a string. If you put on a counter and drop the weight, the doll will walk. It is a baby with a red dress and pink fabric overlay. I have seen Toddler Walking Doll that
is battery operated, but cannot find anything on the doll that I am looking for. Any thoughts?

Hello,
I recently purchased 3 Marx jungle animals (rhino, tiger and lion) all with moving mouths or head (rhino). They are quite large and made out of hollow hard plastic. I have looked online for this line...does anyone know if others were made? The rhino is about 7" tail to horn...they are quite large and they have wheels in their feet.
