Former Marx Employee Weekend
Saturday May 7th and Sunday May 8th, 2005

The Official Marx Toy Museum hosted a Marx Employee Weekend Celebration on Saturday, May 7th and Sunday, May 8th,2005.  The museum was open to all former Marx employees as an expression of our appreciation for their dedication to toy production.  Former employees are invited to share stories, photos, and other Marx memorabilia.

Producing Marx Toys from 1919 to 1980, Louis Marx & Co. became the “largest toy manufacturer in the world.”  Factories in Erie and Girard, PA, along with their largest facility in Glen Dale, West Virginia, created the toys of generations past.

Located just 1.5 miles from the Glen Dale Factory in Moundsville, WV, The Official Marx Toy Museum displays thousands of Marx toys throughout five decades of production.  It is a dedication to Marx toys, to Louis Marx the man, and to the many Men and Women who dedicated their lives to toy production.  The Marx museum provides an opportunity for men and women to relive the memories of their favorite childhood toys and for all to realize the dedication and talents of local toy designers and factory workers.

Louis Marx & Co. provided jobs for more than 2,000 men and women per year in the Ohio Valley for nearly 50 years.  In turn, The Official Marx Toy Museum would like to provide Marshall County and the Ohio Valley with the history and the memories of those Men and Women and the Toys they produced.

The Marx Employee Weekend is now available to visitors of the Museum Website, through photos, stories, and quotes shared by former Marx Employees.

Visit the Marx Employee Weekend Page!!!
