Plan Your Marx Toy Museum Group Tour

A group tour of The Official Marx Toy Museum begins with an introduction to Louis Marx & Co. - discussing Louis Marx, the Marx factories, a background on the toy production process, and a demonstration of a variety of memorable Marx toys.

The Official Marx Toy Museum will share the history, stories, and statistics of not only the toys, but the men and women dedicated their lives to toy production.  Through personal accounts, visitors will be introduced to toy designer Joe Chamberlain, assembly foreman Mike Yankoski, and of course, Louis Marx himself.

Groups will have the option of a guided tour or casual tour throughout the museum:

If time allows, a guided tour will allow the museum to share more personal accounts and histories on specific Marx toys.  Visitors will be able to ask questions and guides will pose questions to trigger memories along the way...For example, "Roy Roger had a horse, what was its name?"  The museum encourages groups to plan for a minimum of 1 hour 30 minutes for this option.

Planning a shorter visit, a casual stroll throughout the beautiful display will allow visitors the opportunity to fully view the museum and find the area which strikes the most memories.  This encounter will not leave a visitor short of the histories of these Marx artifacts; names, dates of productions, stories, and more are included in the displays and can be enjoyed at the visitors own pace.

In addition, the museum features three videos on Marx throughout the museum:
* A detailed history of Marx Toys and Louis Marx the man
* A documentary on the toy production process at the Glen Dale factory in 1959
* Over 30 minutes of Original Marx commercials from the 1960's,  including Big Loo, Rockem' Sockem'  Robots, the Big Wheel, Great Garloo, EZ-Weaver, Tony the Pony, and many, many more.

Groups will conclude their tour in the 1950's room to take in the sites and sounds of the Golden Era.  Get your photo with Elvis in the phone booth, play a song on the Juke box, or just kick back with a bottle of Coca Cola.  The Official Marx Toy Museum takes pride in not only the collection of Marx toys, but the quality of the tour that we provide our visitors.  When planning your tour...we are here to meet your needs!!!

The museum is has two handicap accessible restrooms, is one level, & wheel chair accessible, has seating throughout the museum, along with refreshments and snacks!!!
